>>47668824No, it isn't. On /v/, discussion topics are much more broad, so dedicated trolls for specific topics are less common. They're also easier to ignore due to the speed and size of the board, and discussion can actually happen, sometimes around the trolls, because there's enough people around for it. People are also more willing to call out bullshit there, whether you believe it or not. Even perhaps more unbelievable, /v/ actually gets far more moderation than /vp/. So, while rarer than it should be, you can consistently see good threads on /v/.
Here, trolls get to reign because they make up half the board's activity, and they can easily overwhelm discussion with samefagging or one or two buddies to make it seem like their manufactured opinion is the majority. And since the board's topic is much more specific than just video games, the trolls here pop up in a lot more threads, and boy do they love popping in every thread discussing the games. And they get to do all of this freely because the mods actively refuse to even glimpse at this board.
