Y'all are in for more disappointment hell than you can shake a stick at.
So far, GameFreak has done a pretty great job of keeping this 'hype' season from spiraling out of control. But this is the time for fans to start preparing themselves for disappointment. I know as a Pokémon fan that I'll be pissed if the games end up being garbage again, but my expectation is not going to change. The average fans will be buying it. And I think the Sinnoh fans are going to buy it too. I think there is a good chance the haters will buy it too. Thing is, we are all going to be disappointed. And I know it's going to be painful, but we are all going to be disappointed anyway. So what gives?
It's like when we went to the movies to see The Dark Knight. We all knew it was going to be good. We all knew the hype was going to be big. But we all also knew it was going to be disappointing. I think the thing that will hurt the most is when the games come out and the hype fleshes out. When it was leaked that the remakes were not developed by GameFreak, we were all stoked. Then when the trailer started and we got to see the DS and heard the theme song of Diamond and Pearl we were even more pumped. But then when we got to see in-game footage, we just felt let down. That's what it's going to be like with this game. I've never met someone who didn't like Pokémon. Everyone likes Pokémon. Even after seeing the trailer, they still expect the game to be great for some reason. It will be disappointing when they actually play the game and think, "This is so corny, why did they bother?" I'm not saying the game will be bad, but I am saying that it will disappoint fans.
