For your example image you even had to go and grab two Pokemon from the same line just to try and force an example, and three Pokemon in there have perfect reasons to be fairy (Fairy Dog crossed with Fairy Floss/Fairy Cakes, a baby Sprite/Star, and an Elf Child/Living Toy) while another is literally just made of magic and is based on a pun.
Gen 6 didn't start out with the best Fairy Types, but Gen 7 and 8 have a LOT of really good ones, and I think they have a good balance of creepy, alien and seelie fae and cute, bubbly creatures.
