I got mine back in 2011 when I bought both HG and SS. When the battery died I didn't change it until a few weeks ago, it's nice raking up tons of watts just going about my day, makes me wonder how many I could have gotten had I changed it sooner

I'm going through HG and planning on using it to finish off more of the dex once I catch/evolve/breed everything I can in HG alone.
That said, I lost my original one years ago and just bought some JP ones for $40 each since they're meant to use the language of the game you connect them to.

thing was and is still pretty damn disappointing
unlocking the good routes takes longer than 100%ing the whole game, 2-3 times. and the vast majority of pokémon don't offer anything than the shit you find on routes anyway ...aside from like event routes with surf/fly-pikachu

I recently put a new battery in mine, though I haven't used it much. I put my Umbreon in it and then proceeded to painstakingly copy the sprite pixel-by-pixel since I never saw it before, and couldn't find it anywhere; pic related is the finished product.
