I try other JRPGs when I beat pokemon, but I miss how much flexibility pokemon gives you in team composition, a lot of games don't even come close.
Do appreciate Ni no Kuni and Digimon Cyber Sleuth.

I despise the genre in general, the pokémon, universe and games Game Freak are the reason why I haven't dropped it as a genre entirely.

I want a good Senran Kagura game that is comfy. Peach Beach Splash was almost there but its gameplay was incredibly floaty and too fast to be enjoyable.

I played the original Xenoblade and DQ XI, both on Switch. Pokémon is a fucking travesty. A 11-year-old game on the Wii has more replay ability, soul, and character development than SWSH. DQ XI made me cry tears of happiness at the end and is how a game can keep its old formula and callbacks to the originals and still be fun to play.

It's an entry-level, kiddy RPG and has been since Gen I son. To the point they continually dumb down the game, to make sure the kiddies playing can finish them and get hooked on the rest of the brand.
