Most mons are shit and didn't start to get good until the DS era when the battles could be done over wifi with people all over the place rather than needing link cables to do it. Gen 5 is when they started adding in deliberately competitively viable pokemon and items who had no purpose in the single player aspect of the game but were for battling other pokemon online.

Anything with a move with increased crit chance (thus critting basically every damn time) works fine in RBY. Heck, Kingler who has a low Sp Atk could still make Crabhammer work due to that bug.

Reread your post, a bit more impressive this time, but if it was the only mon that gained all experience, I guess it xould be done. Even moreso since you can't find any non Gen V mons before the Elite 4 and confrontation against Team Plasma.

Not really. at least not compared to Johto. Nearly every Kanto shitmon either got special snowflake forms. Stay surfs, or broken moves. Even the few true Kanto shitmons are nowhere near as useless as the trifecta of Delibird, Unown, and Ledian.
