They're available in the wild, you putz. The whole point is they haven't documented the pokémon in Sinnoh, thus haven't codified what their starters are supposed to be yet.

They are the original three Sinnoh starters since PLA is a prequel. Piplup, Schorchimp and Turtwig are just pretenders.

All johto starters are better than all of Unova's starters. The Alolan grass starter is better than all of the Unova starters, but the other Alola starters are worse. I don't know wether I like Cyndaquil is better or Rowlet is better?

One of the trailers said that some researcher brought the starters from other lands he had explored. And their final evos (except Typlosion) fit the theme

Oshawott, I guess. The samurai (Samurott) is the only one who fits this game's Asian theme.

Robin Hood (Decidueye) doesn't fit. Neither does generic fire monster (Typhlosion).

Decidueye isn't a feudal japanese archer.

His previous evos (Rowlet and Dartrix) look like preppy european boys. With bowties and everything.
Decidueye's design itself is also a very modern age look. A hoodie with drawcords. Orange "glasses". He looks nothing like a feudal archer.

The Typhlosion and cannon comparison is just retarded. No further comment.

Either it’s the Octillery situation where the weapon elements are were alway intense but extremely subtle or Game Freak was looking for a starter to and noticed that Typhlosion fit the best.
