HGSS gets points for togglable running shoes.
BW/BW2 for aesthetics.
ORAS, however is my favorite because of just how packed the bottom screen is. It has the options menu, DexNav, AreaNav, BuzzNav and XY's prior bottom screen functions with PSS, Super Training and Pokemon Amie, and you can all easily swap between these.
SM fucks this up by replacing the most useful bottom screen to date with Rotomdex. SM also managed to make the PC much slower, which is baffling.

HGSS's UI is kinda clunky outside of the base menu, navigating through the bag takes ages.
Personally, Gen V has my favourite DS interface, and nothing beats ORAS as far as the 3DS goes.

I don't have them all in mind off hand but my first thought is ORAS, between the XY stuff and PokeNav stuff the bottom screen was basically never idle. The world map screen actually updating your position with every step you took was a nice touch.

Outside of battles
Gen 6 > HGSS > DPPt > Gen 5 > Gen 7
In battle they feel more or less the same but I do like Gen 7's battle menu
