Still better animated than SWSH. A low bar to overcome I know, but with how the games are turning out, the spinoffs are absolutely better than the main series as it is currently. If you were just referring to past games, you would have a point.

in literally every other aspect?
YES
mainline pokemon games have a great gameplay core but everything else about the games being subpar (poor story, graphics, aesthetic, world scale, lack of content, etc) kinda ruins the experience

Snap is much better than SwSh. SwSh is a watered down mainline game that feels incomplete compared to the 3DS games which were better. Snap is better looking but is better as a spinoff than swsh is as a mainline game
