I think Pidgeot is easily one of the worst, doesn't even have a cool gimmick like Swellow or Unfezant, but Noctowl exists as a real official pokemon.

That pidgeon is one of the most bland things in the whole franchise. The only interesting thing about it is a notable gender difference which has literally no effect other then visuals.

In both RBY and FRLG, Fearow has a better movepool, evolves much earlier (20 vs 36) and has better attack and speed (pidgeot's speed would be boosted to one point above fearow's in gen 6). Pidgeot also does not get Drill Peck.

Unfezant is shit. They should've just made it Special and made it the Air Slash + Super Luck spamming mon but apparently swapping its attacking stats would make it too OP, meanwhile stuff like Mega Rayquaza and Zacian get to exist with no problem

your bird's viability depended on how long you wanted to wait to get one
>pidgey is the shittiest one but you can get it right away
