Why didn't any of you tell me about this bros? This is cool af, Marks are a really good feature that adds more individuality to each pokemon, why has no one talked about them?

They have to survive several generations to matter, IMO Ribbons were a way to show a pokemons history but now that dexit is in none of it matters.
Marks are praobly worth it on gen 8 pokemon but not anything lower.

it'll only be cool af if they're a permanent addition like ribbons. besides, they don't really do much other than add a few words to the end of a mon's name, and they're certainly not enough to redeem SwSh, so there's not much of a point in bringing them up

Not really. Ribbon Mastered Pokemon have shitloads of prior ribbons to signify accomplishments. Marks ae randomly generated flavor bits: they're awesome, and I think a great addition, but they're not ribbons (you don't get them by doing something, you just get them if the RNG decides to cough up a nice one on a random wild mon) so they don't really "ruin" any RM.

Marks are pretty cool and add some nice flavor to a Pokemon, but they don't really do or add that much substantially and the possibility that they'll be cut next gen hangs overhead. There's just not much to talk about with them.

They are stored in the same place as Ribbons. They would have to cut Ribbons for them to go (I wouldn't put it past them)

This is one of those things that make me think SS aren't a soulless corporate product but just a genuinely bad game that was made worse by corporate limitations. That and the alternate shiny animation they fucked up the programming of. It shows me somebody cares, but between gross incompetence and incredibly tight deadlines they just can't make a great game. Maybe a good one, if they really tried, but not a great one.
