But it is a multiplayer game. This is about as retarded as saying Splatoon is a bad game because its single player campaign is almost non-existent and easy.

You're going to have to elaborate on how a Pokemon game having Pokemon in it makes it bad

the exp share is better not worse. Makes it less tedious to try out different Pokemon. In previous games there's no reason to not just steamroll the entire game with one Pokemon because training other Pokemon is just a pointless time sink

These aren't new Pokemon. These are power boosts for shillmon like every Genwun Poke, Gardevoir, and Lucario.

There's nothing at all distinct about the region's fauna. Why is it so much work to have one stand on its own instead of just being a vehicle to shill genwun?

Having one starter is already easy enough. Then the game hands you another one that can be mega evolved. There's so much handholding post Gen 5
