No, but he's fine in his own right. His Aura gimmick can be quite irritating at times, but in terms of his character he makes sense. Mewtwo almost made it into Brawl anyways, and likely won't be cut again anytime soon.

People hated Corrin being another obligatory FE addition after adding like 3 in one game.
Outside that Corrin is one of the most fun characters to play in Smash where you don't have to nearly lose to win.
Pinning assholes, chainsawing with your forward smash charge, and stunning opponents with dragon fang never felt so kino.

Plus they're cute, but people like FemCorrin.

Wrong, they're call replacements in Brawl because
1. they never gotten the chance and faith to bring back Mewtwo and Roy before Brawl got delayed
2. it was something they were lenient to do since Melee, until they started to give up on it by bringing back Ness with Lucas.
3. it's another way to keep the roster selection fresh and brand new for new players.
