By playing a romhack, you are also of course knowingly subject to the creator's decisions and ideas on the series, which are many times going to be contrary to what the original devs had in mind (after all, if the original games were so good, fewer people would be making romhacks to offer their "improvements" on the game). It's the same thing when people complain about hacks being too hard for one reason or another; it doesn't really matter because it's not an official interpretation anyways and you shouldn't hold it to the same standard as official development decisions. If you cannot accept that, you really shouldn't be playing romhacks. Anyone autistic enough to make a romhack, on a small team or alone as a matter of fact, will always feel the need to selfsign the hack by inserting themselves. I see threads open all the time for this particular instance when there are many, many, MANY other examples of this happening (which people get away with because they just do) and no one blinks twice.
Also romhacks are generally really fucking bad anyways, not sure why people recommend more than half of the shit ever posted here when most of the devs of said romhacks put in tranny shit into their games.
