>>47745515Pruning the dex is fine if the game's quality skyrockets to compensate, but they couldn't even be assed to do that. The only good part of gen 8 is that they made a couple little dinky QoL improvements, and that there's a casual-ish co-op mode for people to play.
Since they didn't really improve the game in any noticeable way, it just seemed incredibly odd that they didn't just port the rest of the dex, they only really did texture updates on all the Pokemon, AND the models weren't even handled in-house, so there was no visible reason for them to do it; hell, they didn't even choose a good selection of Pokemon to cut for competitive reasons, they just cut wildly and hoped for the best.
