OS-DP looks too cheesy, BW looks too nice, XY looks too grumpy, SM looks pretty good, PM looks unrecognizable, M22 looks like an Italian :) So M22 is the best one, because Giovanni is a Mafiaboss, the Mafia is Italian, M22 Giovanni looks the most Italian, therefore:

Unironically OS. He looks like a businessman, without wearing a generic black suit. He’s flamboyant and rich. BW looks too militaristic, XY is alright. SM and PM makes him look like a normal, generic businessman. Even his face just screams average individual. I’m not even going to talk about M22.

Only if you assume its part of the main games canon, and that Masters isn't and that Go is where Rainbow Giovanni went after USUM and even then there's the fact that Rainbow Giovanni is not from a world we've seen on the games so you can also argue his age isn't related to the point where the main games happened.
Basically there's a lot of assumptions that aren't completely ilogical, but still assumptions, for it to work.
It also looks like shit.

The Mewtwo Evolution version does look more like the character, but I can appreciate GO finagling with the fact that Giovanni is so nondescript that you can silp him into a more realistic style.
