>>47761322>fightingFocus punch is one of the best physical moves in the entire game and even Gengar used to run it because the move hit so goddamn hard, cross chop hits like a truck and Hariyama/Machamp have the stats to use it, sky uppercut is a great STAB on Blaziken, Breloom's mach punch has priority, and brick break is a great coverage move in general. All predictability goes out the window when any pokemon with arms can potentially nail your switch-in with focus punch. Switched Blissey in to soak up Charizard's fire blast? Suddenly Bliss is forced to heal because it ate a focus punch. Switched Swampert in to absorb TTar's CB rock slide? Swampert is now pretty much death fodder now. This is all without mentioning the best fighting type in the game with the best focus punch in the game, Heracross.
>bugTrue, but megahorn Heracross is so strong that this is pretty irrelevant. Scizor would be broken in gen 3 with a good bug STAB. Oh, and Scyther is solid in UU.
>poisonPoison isn't actually that bad in gen 3. Sure it's weak to EQ, but it has vital switch-ins to focus punch, megahorn, hidden power bug, and toxic while sludge bomb is a great STAB. The problem is with the mons themselves. Crobat is far too strong for UU play, but has no tools to deal with rocks or steels (it didn't get super fang until HGSS). Weezing used to be a staple way back in the day when Heracross was the single biggest threat in the entire game and brick break was on everything, but its lack of good recovery eventually caught up with it.
Nidoqueen will be meta one day>rockWhat the hell is this shit? Rock is the best offensive type in the game. Great super effective coverage and comboes well with EQ, focus punch, HP bug, and HP flying/aerial aceEven without rock slide, HP rock is nearly as good and DDTar/CB Aero would still be just as scary late game. Rock blast is also sometimes used over both for the increased damage output. Pic related needs his own fucking post.
