One of my favorite gen 2 Pokemon that I never actually use anywhere. Also one of the biggest victims of "flying type pokemon always flying" in newer gens.

That really cheeses me off. For most bird Pokemon it kind of works, but Xatu looks so serene and stately in its regular standing pose. In flight it looks kind of goofy. I don't really buy the idea that it's a good flier anyway - seems like it would only make short hops. But they really couldn't be bothered making some kind of flutter animation that would trigger in response to Ground-type attacks, huh?

Its moveset is mainly support-oriented but it has good offensive options too. I'm running one in HGSS with this moveset:
Wish
Light Screen
Confuse Ray
Drill Peck - egg move, will replace this with Psychic eventually, or maybe U-Turn. Or maybe I'll replace Light Screen with U-Turn.
