>>47762877The (actual) complaints about Goh revolve around how he's got more presence than Ash. Since the very beginning, it's been about Ash and his friends. Goh and Koharu are his friends, but Ash is all but non-existent in Journeys. Goh takes center stage at all times, except when he's not even present. It was supposed to be that Goh would be a secondary protagonist, which implied he'd be a major character like how all of Ash's main companion were. Instead, he took over the primary protagonist role, and Ash is the supporting protagonist instead. That, and Goh's design is stupid. They clearly wanted to make another cute brown girl, and the elements are evident (hair clip spot on his hair, long eyelashes, slender body), but then they made him a guy without removing the female traits.
Journeys is a good show though. It has some stinker episodes, like literally every other season, but it's plenty good. You just need to be prepared to accept that Ash somehow did EVERYTHING he did in all previous seasons within a short time frame, because everyone is back without any visible change in age.
