i would replace any starters we actually got with eevee, but i do think eevee makes for the best starter. because of all it's evolutions he is incredibly malleable. once you've started building your team you can see what holes you have and use eevee to fill most of them.

it should have been pushed much more as a mascot due to it's evolution gimmick better representing the series than pikachu.

You've posted it. I love Espeon. I love its design, I love its function. Yes, there are other Pokemon that's better for the role, but I prefer using it than the others.
