tfw I just realized Alolan Formes was just a gimmick used to add rare types (dark/steel/fairy/ghost/dragon) that the Kanto dex lacked before GF revisited Kanto, or in general to add onto type diversity (i.e. too many rock/ground types). of course, pikachu line is the exception, but I never realized their typings were done for that reason.
