I understand that in official artwork and maybe some shitty manga panels and other official sources, he's wearing a white hat. I don't give a single shit about these primary sources. It's his hair. The rationale behind it being a hat is retarded. There is no such hat that looks like this, and in all instances of the original release of the third generation games it is portrayed much more convincingly ingame as hair and not a hat.
