>>47775309While it has plenty of things that end up kinda nice, the execution of said things is done terribly in many cases
>Like >>47775464 said, having the spawns be tied so strictly to weather is AIDS>The wild Area weather being schizophrenic and not noticable from a distance is jarring>The Story being clinically retarded>Forcing the player to fight in a nondescript league uniform exclusively>The towns going back to looking like they house like 3 people, instead of the objective improvements the big cities in SM had>Catching limitations to wild mons, while already having two decent systems in place (The "disobey" one and the "catching higher leveled mons becomes way harder" one) making exploring pointless>Route design being some of the worst in the series>The amount of verticality in the wild area making moving around a pain>The fucking elevator tag fights>Making breakable TRs a fucking thing again>Not making the Offline raids with occasional unique trainers/gym leaders to make the world feel a bit more lived inThe DLC adds a fair amount of content to the base game, but it isn't without its problems
>The absolute mockery the DLC ends up being with the talking King of muppets>Dynamax Adventures letting you break the game in half after imposing so many limits on the catching of wild Pokemon (making those limitations EVEN MORE POINTLESS)>The Galar Star Tournament not having more unique trainers (the other version's gym leaders, Rose and his assistant) and having to unlock everyone in the damn thing>No way to freely trade between the ores, just from one to the other, bringing the amount of currency in the game to 5The game still had some cool things like Zacian being a legitimately strong opponent in Shield if you don't super effective kill it soon, the QoL features, Battle Tower having Battle Ready Rental teams for those that played with shitmons in the game and stadi battles but it doesn't make up for the lows the game can hit you with
