>>47774613I'd add Dhelmise, too, which I liked.
>GrapploctI like it mainly because it provided much-needed type variety in Gen 8's water routes. It has bigger problems than being water/fighting, such as stats that don't work with octolock and a lack of technician moves.
>NihilegoDisliked. I still don't know why it's rock type and it feels like they just stretched the ultra beast thing to check off an unused typing, sort of like G-Weezing being poison/fairy instead of poison/steel. I lost a nuzlocke pokemon to it because its type was unclear.
>LycanrocI never had trouble seeing it as a rock type, possibly because SM revealed too much pre-release.
>DragalgeLiked, though I played X. I'll take dragon/poison over dragon/water. It also provides water variety like Grapploct.
>FlorgesDisliked, but not much. They probably did it since it's early game in XY and might confuse people about fairy's type chart. Having no singles ability's way worse.
>StunfiskLiked. The alternative would have been a worse Lanturn or outclassed by Seismitoad. Again, possible future water route variety.
>>47774737>RookideeLiked it. There's better ways to make more wind spirit pokemon like Tornadus feel special than making a bunch of normal/flying types.
>LucarioDisliked it. I still can't tell why it's steel type beyond some bracelet-looking stuff that aren't as much as some other pokemon like Primeape and the spikes. Bone rush's sense is shaky with the anubis thing too, though if you can just materialize a bone out of thin air, more pokemon should learn it.
>Farfetch'dDisliked, but it's more a lack of design change to indicate fighting type than anything else. Fighting type swordsmen have been a thing since Gallade. Still wish it was a crossgen instead of regional evo.
>LugiaNot initially disliked, but I do after hearing they gave it psychic to make it seem powerful. It's a lot like charizard/gyarados not having dragon type because they wanted it rare and they're both common.
