This was the first time it really started to feel like gamefreak stopped caring. Crystal was neat, Emerald brought fresh change, but Platinum was comparatively lazy and just had a poorly copy pasted post game from Emerald (reusing ideas because laziness), poorer route design, poorer story, easier game, unobtainable pokemon, the looker meme, etc. HGSS was their last hurrah, but as far as Sinnoh goes there was something that felt off about this game.
