N could be the hero of truth because from his worldview and perspective of reality his understanding is that pokemon and humans do not belong together, so using Reshiram he can forge his personal truth into a universal one. Or he could be the hero of ideals, because from his perspective an ideal reality is one where humans and pokemon are separated, and so he can use Zekrom to impose his personal ideals onto reality.
Likewise the protagonist could be either the hero of truth (using the near-universally observed truth that pokemon and humans do belong together to counter N's ideals), or the hero of ideals (using their ideals to counter N's personal truth and prove him wrong). Just like Reshiram and Zekrom come together to form the original dragon, truth and ideals come together to form reality, or at least a personal perspective of it.
