reason for delay has been approval for last few promotional artworks
presents overview:
- opens with new bdsp trailer
- trailer shows clips of eterna, pastoria, hearthome, and snowpoint gyms. puzzles/gym layouts carried over from platinum
- team galactic is featured; shows flashes of fights with each commander in their "battle" models as well as clips of various galactic locations
- the mural in celestic town looks SICK
- no mention of megas/gmax
- underground is shown with updated mining game + new online feature showcased where players can connect to sell/trade items with each other; underground now contains a bunch of items (evo stones, choice items, etc)
- contests returning with cosplay pikachu
- we get a general overview of gameplay; updated lighting/colors in the overworld, preview of palkia/dialga encounter at spear pillar (cutscenes look cool), camera pans over several areas including route 213, the lakes, hearthome city/amity square, the old cheateu, and sunyshore city
- trailer ends with an unstable portal in a cave (presumably turnback cave; footage also seems to have been animated separately from the game) and a cut to a black screen with giratina's cry
- bulk of bdsp segment is spent explaining new online features + connectivity with gen 8
- pla connectivity only hinted; "we're excited to show you the ways you can connect your adventures in past and present sinnoh"
- pla trailer is very "instructional"
- less of a trailer and more of a guided gameplay demo
- introduces capture and combat systems
- frame issues seem to be solved; other than aesthetic updates there is no new info
