this is seriously the worst designed pokemon in the entire series especially after factoring in how much better Rhydon looks. what the fuck were they thinking.

The way the elbows stick out makes him look fragile, not strong. Like it might snap off. Is this unintentional? I'm not sure anymore. There are a lot of designs that seem to subvert themselves like this, like Buzzwole

Never saw the problem of the elbows, makes me think of tall rock spires or thin mountain peaks, like a single of it's arms is as strong as a mountain, which is pretty imposing.

Rhyperior looks like the Ash Greninja equivalent of a Rhydon belonging to Mr. Potts from Hey Arnold. Like it evolved to be a squat fat big nosed demolition worker by having such a strong bond with him.
Overall though while I much prefer Rhydon, I think Rhyperior works as a man-made/man-influenced evolution created specifically to cater to our needs. I have a harder time envisioning it as a wild Pokémon, especially considering it evolves from putting on protective gear that was seemingly made by people.
