When you're adapting a turn-based RPG into real-time fights, you pretty much have to make some moves up or change the effects of existing moves, because the mechanics of a turn-based RPG don't translate well to real fights.

Kek. The stuff the average person wants from Pokémon, is the stuff that’s in Adventures. Only autists want the manga to more closely reflect the game. No one wants to read a turn based manga and shit. Adventures manages to combine the spirit of Pokémon with actual manga action. You aren’t reading adventures, though.

Why would you read the manga, that's whole fucking point is Pokemon-Human fusion, if you're not interested in that?
The whole fucking point of these alternate forms of media is to explore ideas and concepts that would otherwise never be utilized in the games or anime.
Jesus Christ, do you have something against writers having ideas? Do you want every manga to just be some cookie cutter retelling of the games?
