I agree. GSC's simplicity was charming and relaxing, and it's a good game on top of that.
I wouldn't call XY great games by any means, but Kalos was definitely pretty comfy

There have been some tough npcs throughout pokemon with fewer mons but Kalos has shit AI and is an easier game to grind in

Except for Lumiose city lol. Agreed tho, XY is a comfy region and got a great Pokedex, I just wish the rest of the game wasn't so boring
