I'm trying to make a list of all the Pokémon you can get at each stage of the game for each Generation but I've never played any Kanto or Hoenn games so I need some help with them.

That list is confusing. Donphan and Ursaring are before badge 1, which is only in Crystal, but then Hitmontop appears after the 8th badge, while in Crystal you can get it before the 3rd. Also, Lugia and Ho-Oh appear before the 8th badge, but this is only true in Gold/Silver. You have to wait until the postgame to get them in Crystal.

I'm going by the earliest you can get it in any game (ignoring remakes). So, because you can get Donphan before the 1st Gym in Crystal, but only after the 7th in Silver, I'm going by Crystal. And because you can get Stantler after the 2nd Gym in GS, but only after the 3rd Gym in Crystal, I'm going by GS for that.

Ohh, ok. There's more you should correct tho.

Going by the original releases here.

I only included Gen 2 mons in mine because I want to make each Gen as fair a comparison as possible (of course Gen 8 is going to have more Pokémon available than Gen 2, it has more Pokémon in the game).

I've tried. Multiple times. I hate Kanto as a Region and the Dex is boring to me, and Hoenn is a fucking slog to play through and the Dex is just a bunch of ugly single stage shitmons that only contrarians on /vp/ like. I just don't think they're for me desu

Well, in gen 1 gyms aren't true roadblocks for the most part. You can skip one of them without too much consequences, so I included events which I considered more legitimate roadblocks.

A lot of these are wrong. For example, you NEED the pokeflute to get Scyther in red. You can only get it in the safati zone.

I always forget about the gambling addiction mons, Porygon is the only one I remember. I always hated those minigames, I'd rather get the money to get the coins directly but everything is so expensive that I just don't use the casino rewards ever.

Here's the one for gen 2 with the badge order requirement that includes all the obtainable Pokémon, not just the ones introduced in gen 2.
Also a couple corrections, Dragonite should be before the Poké-Flute here >>47829560 and before Erika here >>47829905

Barring missing more families in some types, kanto has a great distribution.
Good chunk of pokemon per gym, also erika is frontloaded by giving you access to all stones so it's not extremely accurate, but makes sense.

You don't even need Brawly's badge to go get Roselia/Illumise/Volbeat. There is quite literally nothing other than May 2 stopping you from reaching Mauville.

In fact there's nothing really stopping you from skipping Brawly until the literal end of the game. Same with Winona, so you can move all of the 6th gym mons up to 5th gym

In gen 3 it's pretty easy to substitute those two badges with "delivering the letter to Steven" and "getting the Devon Scope" respectively to make them true roadblocks story-wise.

What do you mean? You get a good selection of mons rather early, you get a large chunk of them within the first 4 gyms and they're really varied but without going overboard like in BW2 and onwards.

Here's Kalos. This is using the final form to represent the whole line, so there are instances like Weavile where the item isn't available until later, but you can get an earlier form. Also Turtonator is a stand-in for torkoal, because I didn't notice that it was missing on the tier list maker I was using until I was 7 badges in.

I'm trying to disprove the "Johto has bad Pokémon distribution" claim. I've already disproven the "Johto has a bad level curve" argument with my level curve percentage graph, so this is the next goal.

I'm assuming this is going by intended order then? Since you can skip Winona and make Tate and Liza the 6th gym badge and thus get Relicanth, Lanturn, and Clamperl earlier than the 7th gym badge

People didn't claim that Johto had a "bad pokemon distribution," they claimed that the region relies to much on KANTOOO and that the new mons aren't that good. And on average, they're weaker than other regions.
