>>47833007I went to a Mew distribution event at a Toys R Us to promote Lucario and the Mystery of Mew/Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and the kid behind me in the line couldn’t receive his Mew because he hadn’t gotten far enough in FRLG to be able to trade with Hoenn games. The distributor let me have a second Mew to try to see if it would let me send it to him but that didn’t work either. When I asked about returning the second Mew he said I could keep it, so I’ve had those 2 Mews ever since. One’s rash and the other’s naive. Over the years I’ve gotten other Mews as well but those two always stand out to me as my favorite means of obtaining Mew. Though catching Mew in Go underneath my friend’s truck was fun too.
I’m really sad that they ran a shiny Mew paid event during a time when I was away from Go for a few months. I really hope they run that again in the future. Blue Mew is like the one Pokemon I would gladly pay for in that game.
