It's mostly the crown and legs that are the problem. I think given his design inspiration (jackalope, wolpertinger, Cernunnos) you could easily improve on his look while retaining the original ideas. In essence, I wish he looked more like an actual animal and less like a sock puppet.

There's a reason why I stick to Pokemon over all the other monster hunter games. Pokemon has some of the best looking monsters by far. Sure, the franchise falls short a lot, but not nearly as often as Digimon or Youkai Watch.
