The story is subpar, the generational gimmick is temporary kaiju transformation, and a lot of the designs are pretty cool.

Half the dex is great, half is awful. The region feels weirdly empty and lifeless. The plot had potential but it feels like it was rushed and they gave up at the end.

In general, the game feels unfinished and unpolished, but like it could have been great

There won't be a third version. They came out with 2 lackluster DLCs and that'll probably be it

As of now, 3/4ths of the Nationaldex is coded into the game. Meaning, you can only transfer the
pokemon that you can actually obtain in game. Main story is shit, with the railroading problem of SM. Giant pokemon is the gimmick and it's more broken and unbalanced than megas and z-moves combined. The DLC is content that should've been in the base game for $30. Transfer is locked behind an $8(minimum) paywall, and it's not free with the online service.
