idk I don't really want him to notably age. I just wish they'd not acknowledge his age at all and he's just "kid" forever. That way there's room for things like that baby up there to happen but nothing that drastic.

The same happened with Apu's children in the Simpsons. Maggie was a two-year old baby before Apu married his wife. In a later episode she became pregnant and her children got older. They were like 3 or 4 years old later that episode while neither Maggie nor Bart and Lisa aged a single year. In a later episode they reappear and look like they are 4 or 5 years old but otherwise no one in Springfield ages.

However there's that one Pikachu short that ends with the anniversary of Ash and Pikachu meeting
But for some reason Ash is still 10 at the beginning of the Unova arc
