Yep. Gen 9 is based on Australia.
The starters are what you expect.
Grass Koala (Has a move where he eats a leaf to recover health.)
Fire Rattlesnake (his tail shakes and he shoots fireworks out of it)
Water/Poison Platypus (I imagine he'll be considered "the cool one". He's like Feraligatr if Feraligatr was a Platypus)
Ultra Beasts/Space is coming back too. That's the real reason Pokemon Go skipped Alola and went right for the Galar mons: There will be MORE Ultra Beasts and they want it to all tie in with events and such.
It's coming next year. So is Legends Arceus, but that ain't lookin so good... it might not be full on Sonic Boom level bad but Pokemon Company IS trying to rush it out and there are difficulties in regards to this being a new thing for Game Freak so yeah... not lookin so good. There's a reason no new trailers have been shown yet.
