Consider it kills the mon that uses it, hits allies, most Pokémon that use it don’t even get stab, and shit like Fishous Rend exists. I would say no.

Gen V nerfed it to no longer secretly halve the target's defense
so instead of being the suicide kill it's supposed to be, now it just tickles them
