I had this happen with Cinderace's Pyro Ball. It got so bad I switched it for another fire type move.

The funny thing is when I played HeartGold Focus Blast hit for me alot and often at crucial moments. The RNG is real.

All of those Quick claw + OHKO sets in the frontier were made by Satan. I recently lost a run in emerald's battle tower to a quick claw rhydon that killed my suicune with horn drill and then killed my latios with megahorn. Real Fun
