>>47853582>Dynamax is a better battle gimmick than Megas or Z moves.Lmao nope. It’s objectively worse than Z moves from gameplay and balance perspective
>It's universal, so all Pokemon can do itSo are Z-moves, and it’s not like Exclusive Z-moves are any bit different from Gigantamax, and Z-moves would work for all status moves as well, where as Max Protect is all you’ll get.
>and it doesn't require an item, so you can choose the best option mid battleThat’s objectively bad game design though. It’s essentially being able to activate God mode during a match when you’re about to lose or sweep without anything stopping you. There is also virtually no planning involved during a game with Dynamax, all because you can use it in any scenario. Even mega evolution had some strategic planning with Slowbro and Audino.
>instead of being blocked at the team preview screen by a bad matchup for your pre-chosen mega/z move user. How about instead, get better at teambuilding where your team can handle other teams with good play?
>Furthermore, because max moves let you chance the terrain and weather, and pass buffs to partners or debuffs to enemies, you can much more easily build a "balanced" team. Are you fucking retarded or something? No, these teams are all HO sweepers and pivots or Stall since those are the only 2 ways to even handle Dynamax. And how do you plan on having your team built around effects that last only a few turns? The max moves solely benefit the user and the partner on the field. Nothing else.
>>47853582>Need weather or terrain control to stop an enemy weather or terrain team? Use a max move that overwrites theirs. Need to stop sleep? Use max lightning or starfall? Want to pass buffs to a pokemon that can't buff itself? Have that pokemon out while you max. That’s a good thing? Just to suddenly have the ability to completely shutdown certain status moves while using a hard hitting move?
It really seems like you don’t even want to play the game
