starters evolve into dragon/ fighting, rock/ghost and fire/dark

the goal of the game is to unite/conquer Sinnoh by defeating the chief of each village in a Pokemon battle

they each have one of Arceus' plates

once you get every plate you get to battle a catchable Arceus with a special ability that can be transferred to other games via Home
