>>47868888I'm not OP, but I do think that making so many monotypes or bad dual types out of Pokémon who would clearly benefit from a better secondary typing is stupid. And I also think that the argument against making more Dragon-types due to them supposedly meant to be rare is just as stupid because [see earlier comments regarding Appletun, Duralodon, Altaria etc.]
Dragons haven't been rare or only borderline mythical in ages. It could've been a solid argument sometimes prior to Gen 5, but less so with each successive generation.
And I'm not even saying that all (or any) of those examples in particular should be Dragon types, I'm just saying that there's really no good reasons AGAINST making them Dragon types any more so than making them any other types.
I just get the feeling that people who dislike the idea of making Pokémon X a partial Dragon type just dislike it because they either have this delusional idea that Dragons MUST be ultra powerful and rare which is just stupid fetishization of the type itself, or they're jus contrarians or some shit.
I'm all for fixing shit Pokémon with shit/boring typings by giving them better ones, whether it'd be giving something like Aggron a new secondary typing or fixing shit like [insert evert Bug/Flying, Normal/Flying, boring monotypes] etc. (Also, NOT saying monotypes shouldn't exist, FYI)
