Typhlosion is fine, what’re you talking about? Only thing holding him back is the lack of a mega/stat retcon to keep up with powercreep, but that’s like 70% of the fully evolved Pokémon that exist lmao

No, its water - flying. It still doesn't dissuade it from being the best non-legendary water type, but the point was that tyranitar is still viable and stron even with a 4x weakness to fighting.

They could always just retcon it’s BST. Honestly that would be the easiest way to fix many old mons. Magcargo got a 10 point boost in sp def, negligible at best, but I think it’s them experimenting with the concept of revisiting older pokemon

Tyranitar has always been good. Even up to gen 4-5 it was good and the fighting types and fighting coverage moves in those gens were insane

Without Pursuit and the Mega it's mediocre, but still OU by usage. I'm pretty sure it's better in Ubers than in standard, for a number of reasons peculiar to the tier.

The problem is Typhlosion in particular is that it actually has a high BST for a starter, it's just distrusted in the most retarded way possible (the reason why Charizard is so broken with the same Base Stats is because of its roided out movepool, ground immunity, Solar Power being busted, and its special snowflake forms).

What funny is that there was this Reddit Post that did the possible, giving new starters the Johto Treatment and giving them arranged rearranged versions of Kanto's stats
