>>47874179That's exactly what that graph implies. Pokemania hype from Gen 1 made GS sell well, and then sales plummeted until Gen 4 got people to give the series a second chance, then, by the time HGSS came out, people finally actually appreciated Gen 2, and thus the remakes did well.
