i agree that i don't like it when big booba is stapled onto pokemon, making it too off-model, but my point was actually that official pokemon models, and anthropomorphic animals in general, by default register in my mind as both masculine and feminine. Copypasting booba onto them would ruin their animalistic appearance and just takes away from this effect.
i refer to it as not androgynous because they stand out in my mind as being 100% masc and fem without diluting each other, something that a human cannot pull off.
