>>47890859Yours is an interpretation I am open towards, as there is no intention to be hostile towards localization for me. I still call Sabrina Sabrina on my head and on this board and Misty Misty in every day life, I just think that anon you were talking to had a point.
Worth noting.
I once heard that it is not an uncommon thing for the Japanese to depict blondes as having orange hair, as they often attempt to dye their hair blonde and the result comes out orange either due to a failure to bleach prior to dying on their part, or some other factor. I just remember it was not intentional. Therefore many orange haired characters may in fact be blonde.
This appears to be the case with Rangiku Matsumoto and, I can't believe I'm mentioning them in the same sentence, Sakura Igawa, the better, hotter character.
Unless swim culture has some sort of aversion to hair dying, which I totally understand if so, Misty may (may) be blonde.
