Why are the main series box arts so lame in comparison to the spinoffs ?
Especially SWSH. They scream "purposely basic, will sell you the exciting shit later"

Why do people get on swsh's box art so much when literally every other Pokemon box art is the exact same thing? Don't you have anything else to criticize about the games?

I said main series box arts. They are all like this.

SWSH may look somewhat worse because the background being white looks even more basic. The added lines feel like they realized it looked bad and just added whatever.

BDSP will get the huge Christmas boost every Nintendo game always gets. Nintendo increases sales during christmas way more than any other vidya company. And it will have the advantage of being the newest game in two years so the success is fucking guaranteed.

Then PLA will have none of that commercial push and Joe Merrick will use the numbers to """"prove"""" how superior BDSP is.

And then when PLA fails, GameFreak will take it as "guess people don't want us to try something new" and go right back to the old, tired formula because it takes the least effort.
This was ALL planned to "prove" they don't need to change or improve.
