>>47893980>doesn’t explain why most people here enjoyed it as a kid to such an extent they stuck with the series.Yes it does, it being their first exposure to the series makes them blind to the actual faults thanks to nostalgia. This is common sense.
>150 pokemon. Just like Kanto.BASED retard, the majority of Sinnoh's regional dex is Kanto Pokemon followed by severe legendary bloat, Sinnoh introduced a bunch of cross regional evolution Pokemon, but almost all of them are totally unbailable until postgame in DP. Here's a list of Gen 4 evolutions that are impossible to get during the main story until Platinum
>Mamoswine>Magmortar>Electivre>Porygon Z>Dusknoir>Rhyperior>Magnezone>Probopass>Tangrowth>Togekiss>Lickilicky>FroslassWow, actually I think almost all of them are totally unobtainable until platinum version, nice fucking regional dex lmao.
Go actually look at the encounter tables for Gen 4, its overwhelmingly similar, you have Bidoof line, Starly line, and Gen 1 shitmons. The Gen 4 Pokemon are few and horribly spread out, the number is totally irrelevent because most of them are locked behind things like honey trees (Burmy line, Munchlax, Combee line), or are totally unobtainable until the tail end of the game (Mantyke, Chatot, Sneasel).
This leads to nearly everyone playing the game to run the exact same teams with very slight variations like having Lucario over Floatzel or something.
>Have you used carnivine yet?Ah yes, Carnivine, locked into the Great Marsh some 4+ badges in the game. Same with Skorupi and Croagunk. For whatever reason, they stuff all these Pokemon into a single area instead of properly spreading them out, there was no reason Skorupi couldn't be an earlygame Pokemon, instead, your only chance of getting it is LONG after you've locked your required Shinx and Starly into your team.
So again, DP has the worst regional dex by far and it totally hampers the entire game, cope Sinnohfetus.
