Reminder to anybody reading this thread, these are shitposters samefagging with a goal of getting people to believe the nu-pokemon games (Gen 6-8) are good games and to make you believe what came before Kalos was bad. Their tactics aren't very difficult to spot, they are even trying to expect you to believe that Gen 6 was a 2D game.

Daily reminder that Gen 4 and 5 were fantastic, Gen 6 was just good, and Gen 7 was a steep decline and no amount of discordtranny whining will ever change that. No, Gen 6 was not part of the golden era, yes it marked the symptoms of the decline.

Gen 5 was fantastic, and pretty much objectively a step above Gen 6. While you can see what Gen 6 took from Gen 5, that doesn't mean they're the same even if they're both good for similar reasons.
I'd say 7 and 8 are equally bad but at least 7 tried to do something different even if it meant scrapping what they had at the last minute and lazily putting trials together.

Gen 5 is a more solid package. Gen 6 has extrinsic value as a collective. The maps are about equal but Unova is far better since it cared to do seasons correctly. The online is fine and we can all agree Gen 4-5 online is still better than the Festival Plaza and Y-Comm. Gen 5's postgame is better than Gen 6 in terms of sheer singleplayer content.
