This. Pokemon peaked in USUM but I think it's safe to say it plateaud in HGSS. There's no enjoyment in 5 or 6 at all.

In all honesty, I agree. I see no reason to play it over USUM when the latter actually has a nice story, good difficulty, and a fuckton of postgame content.

I'm gonna have to agree. It was extremely boring and it felt like it honestly wasted my time the whole way through. The DexNav barely worked and felt clunky as fuck with the grid based movement and the PSS was nearly pointless before they made it actually good in Gen 6.
It really just feels like Gen 6-lite, which was already irrelevant since Gen 7 did everything better in USUM at least.

Playing iBW right now. Having a hard time beating the gym leaders simply because I'm just not that into the Pokemon. They're so...goofy looking. I understand that they include other Pokemon from different gens into BW2. Does that really make the difference?

Agreed. Between the DexNav fucking up constantly and the incessant tutorials and interruptions (especially in the sequel) I'm inclined to believe that Gen 5 fans only like it because it's what they grew up with.
