I was just goofing around on the Wayback Machine yesterday when I discovered a website called "pokemon2001.com" with all the images and whatnot broken, so I did a bit of searching. Only places I could find anything about are a short thread on Serebii and a thread on the Lost Media Archive.

I think I've seen this before, or at least I heard about it a while back. I'm pretty sure that it's just the next movie teaser that they have at the end of Pokémon movies in Japanese theaters which is why most of them are difficult to find. This would have been at the end of the Entei movie, and I think it probably would have been around the time they officially revealed Celebi.

As a random example, at the end of the Arceus movie, they showed Ho-Oh and Lugia fighting as a promo for what was ultimately the Zoroark movie that didn't have either. But it represented it being the HGSS movie.

The anime staff have talked about that before. The movies are usually made in less than a year, so they usually don't even know what the next movie is about by the time they have to get the next trailer animated.

That's also why the "adult Misty" trailer for the first movie exists. They had to make SOMETHING, so they just threw in some stuff based on the song that plays in the trailer and some random action scenes that aren't actually in the movie.
